What a great — and sad — poem. I bet it was beautiful down in that valley by the river.
Wonderful poem. I remember my grandfather taking me to the edge of the dam and held me on his hip, pointed out over the water and said, “There was our land they took from us, Katie.”. His grandfather, JA Kirk, homesteaded in Dorena. I have pictures of the land before the flood.
